Now that’s living in a bubble…
On November 23, 2009 in Daily Musing
I loved this picture and though it was actually so neat. This guy is so interesting and if you want to find out more info about Samsam the ‘BubbleMan”, click here.
Monday has crept up once again into our lives swiftly and on the heels of a peaceful and quiet Sunday. I’ve set out my to-do list and I am ready to get started. Lots to do but I am excited because I almost done with the first draft of the website and I just have some final technical issues to take care of. Since I’m not used to a lot of the new techniques I’m using for the new website, the learning curve has been a bit tough but I know it will be well worth it. We’re almost there!
Have a most beautiful morning and I hope you are surprised by something wonderful today

Who said escalators are only for people?…

I’m sure he’s going to get a ticket but I think that’s just being creative with parking, call me crazy. lol!
Thursday, oh how I’ve missed you. I like the feel Thursday’s have. So close to the weekend but still have quite a productive mood floating around. I tend to get a lot of things done on Thursdays. Its a cloudy sky in NYC this morning and as always you will not hear a complaint from my lips in regards to clouds or rain. It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen some droplets float our way and they will most definitely be received with much adulation.
I am feeling so much better this morning, although still a little bit under the weather, but nothing compared to yesterday. Thank you so much to everyone for sending me so many get well wishes. I am always so beautifully reminded how much love I am surrounded by and it means more than you know so thank you thank you thank you.
Lots to do today but my goal is to not stress out too much. I am on the cusp of finalizing the website but there a a few key components that I am not fully understanding that are driving me a bit batty but I will spend today trying to figure those points out. I hope by the end of the day, they will be resolved and I will have good news to share in the coming days regarding a launch date. It will be worth the wait, I promise you. One section I will be setting up on the new website is a feedback section so you can help me out in making it the best it could be.
with that said, I must get my butt in gear and start working
have a most amazing day and if something out of the ordinary happens, be sure to tell me about it

Chipmunks in the fan will always stall a car!…
On November 18, 2009 in Daily Musing
I’m no mechanic but I would say that any type of animal in the motor is going to cause some engine trouble. lol!
Good cold, sunny and quiet mid-morning. As I write these first few words my body is achy, my nose is running and I’ve got the chills all over. I am definitely not complaining since I rarely get sick but today is one of those rare days. I haven’t been exactly bundling up too well for the changing of seasons and I must have caught a chill at some point. I admit that it’s probably my reluctance to come to terms with the coming of the cold weather so mother nature has now come back with her own little rebuttal to my disapproval of her wintery methods
But all will be well and I will most certainly bundle up today as I tread the streets of NYC. I loved reading everyone’s favorite movies and I like trhose types of questions because it gives you ideas for new movies to check out. We are rehearsing tonight with the band but I will try to stop by to say hi and ask another question so we can have some fun.
have a most beautiful day and bundle up…trust me ![]()

The rare unknown origins of airmail!…
On November 17, 2009 in Daily Musing
It was only a century later did they realize that it was easier to bring airmail to earthly levels and make it a bit easier for the postman. lol!
Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday says the calendar but in actuality, it doesn’t really feel like a Tuesday. Sunday’s have a specific feel, Fridays, Saturdays and even Wednesdays but for some reason Tuesdays never really carried much ofa feeling for me. Just another day I guess, yet, another day that could be turned into a great one. Had a nice bust morning already and it’s been one of those days to face up to some of the not so fun items on the list. I am happy to report that I purposely went head into those most undesireable items and I came out the better man for it. Now my mind can focus on the rest of the day without the weight of those things in my head. I like it!
let’s see what we can find out there on this fine Tuesday that will make it stand out among the slew of other Tuesdays. There’s something there, waiting to be found, I promise you.
much postage love

Not a good time to be a hall monitor..
On November 16, 2009 in Daily Musing
As a general rule of thumb in life, whenever I see a bear in close proximity, I stay away. Call me crazy. lol!
I hope it’s been a good Monday so far for everyone. Things are nice and peaceful around here, trotting along, going through the infamous ‘to-do’ list one item at a time. I tend to want to do three things at once and then get frustrated so I am just going through each item brick by brick until I can step away and see the wall standing tall. At least that’s my theory, we’ll see how it goes
I had a beautiful weekend in Mexico in the town of Tlaxcala and got to spend it with a wonderful family that took me in as their own. Lots of food, lots of warmth and the constant reminder of how important it is to create a home and not just have a house. It takes years and lots of love to generate the safety and love that a home requires but every time I get to see it up close, I am convinced time and time again that it is worth every ounce of effort and sacrifice that is needed and that nothing in this world comes close to having that. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and I want to publicly thank my mom and dad for always providing that for me and my sister’s lives.
on that note, I will wish everyone a beautiful rest of the day and hope that you find yourself in a great place reaching for great things. Focus your energy on what’s right and you’ll have a lot more energy left over to work on what could be better without the stress.
much bear love

This cat has hit the motherload!….
On November 09, 2009 in Daily Musing
I have a feeling that the cat is going to go for all of them and not get one! lol!
Good Monday afternoon to all. The week has officially begun and it’s been a semi-sunny day here in NYC with the temperature at a perfect level. Just chilly enough to need a light jacket but not cold enough to slip in through and chill your bones. This is the weather that should prevail all the time. Okay, that’s my little fantasy, I’ll admit it
It was a good weekend and I am looking forward to this week to get a lot of technical stuff done on this side. The website is coming along and has definitely proven to be a lot harder than I though but I know it’s going to be pay off in the end. It will be a much more dynamic site with lots more going on than the previous one. A few small but important updates to share. I have received information from my contact in Argentina that they have found a venue for an Adrian Edward show and it looks like plans are moving ahead with that which makes me very happy. I have been wanting to play a good show in my city of birth for quite some time now and it seems that things are moving in that direction. Also, I wanted to share that once the site is up and running I’m going to need help from all of you to make it run great which I’ll let you know about as the launch date approaches.
So with that, I am off to continue this lovely day and see what else is cookin’

Now that’s a rebel!…
On November 05, 2009 in Daily Musing
I like those who play with the rules a little bit. lol!
Good Thursday almost afternoon to all. The day has not yet decided whether to be a cloudy or sunny day here in NYC. Regardless of what the weather chooses to be, the good thing is that it’s a fine Thursday and there’s a lot to be grateful for. Last night as I was having some pizza, yes pizza and it was darn good, I couldn’t but help to remember how fortunate we are to be able to eat every day and have a roof over our heads when so many don’t have that privilege. It’s so easy to forget that what would deem as commonplace and ‘normal’ is truly a gift and blessing.
I find that being aware of these things on a daily basis helps put our ‘problems’ into perspective and reminds us that there are probably more things right in our lives than we even know. So I propose a day of appreciation and while we are at it, not just a day, but hopefully what will turn into a habit of appreciation. They say that anything done consistently for 21 days becomes a habit so why not make it a good habit of appreciation.
have a most beautiful day today and I hoep you get to laugh, make someone else laugh and savor and taste all those perhaps overlooked blessings in your life
much appreciative love

I think this is going to be her last hockey game…
On November 02, 2009 in Daily Musing
In case you missed her smushed face, it’s the woman on the bottom left. That is not a fun memory to take from a game. lol!!
The morning rolls along smoothly and it appears to be the start of a good week. There’s a chill in the air reminding us Autumn is doing it’s job quite nicely and slowly but surely the final phase of this year is happening. I think an appropriate phrase for today would be. “wow, the year has gone by so fast and I can’t believe it’s November already!” Time is a funny thing and I find that sometimes things that happened only a moment ago seem like they happened years ago and vice versa.
I do know that time stops for nothing and no one and if you don’t make it a point to make days special, they will float by and we will soon forget many of them. I have found that we are not destined to this and it is certainly possible and worth every ounce of effort to do whatever is necessary to make each day count. Clichés become clichés for a reason and making each day count is one that is best not overlooked. There is a huge blessing behind that little phrase but, and this is a big but, the effort must be made to make each day count, even if it’s just being aware of what’s around you. It doesn’t take something extraordinary to make a day extraordinary. Usually it’s in the simplest of things anyway
so here’s to making today count in a big way even if it’s with small things

I thought cows WERE allowed on cable cars!…
On October 29, 2009 in Daily Musing
I guess I was wrong. lol! I don’t even know where to begin with this pic…omg!
It’s still gray and rainy here in NYC and the wonderful thing is that although it’s been rainy, the temperature has been great and just right for long walks. Last night I walked extensively through the city and enjoyed a wonderful evening. There was barely a light drizzle as I walked through Columbus Circle, Times Square and eventually ended up in Union Square sitting in the square enjoying a good book and having a warm cup of coffee. Not a complicated night by any means, but one that was quite welcome.
I keep returning to this concept of simpleness and it seems to keep shouting out to me from all areas of my life. The overwhelming lesson seems to be to regain and hold on to the simple things of this life. Of course life gets hectic from time to time but that doesn’t mean that we must forget the treasure that lies in the most simple of activities or should I say the ‘privilege’ of such activities. It’s so easy to forget that the mere act of walking, sitting down to have a quick bite or even putting on a warm jacket is in and of itself among the largest of privileges. This is the place I want to reside, where everything we are doing becomes alive again with wonder and appreciation. And it can be done and in my humble opinion, if we are to have a full life, needs to be done.
So I invite you today to make it a day of savoring and soaking in the simple privileges of yor life, of which I know you must have many as well. There will still be problems, yes, I am not denying this, but let’s at least direct some of that attention to a better place. What do you say? Let the adventure begin!
much cable car love
