Add Your Caption Friday…

On October 16, 2009 in Add your caption Friday

Apparently the heavens are clearly saying to let it rain because that’s just what’s been happening for the past couple of days here in NYC. Trust me, I am not complaining at all. The rain and I have a very good understanding and whenever it chooses to roll in I am not one to desire it’s departure.

Today should prove to be a peaceful yet productive day which are among my favorite type of days. There is a chill outside foreshadowing the imminent cakk if winter but for now, I sit inside, warm and toasty enjoying a quiet morning appreciating my surroundings and all that privileges that we so easily forget of modern life.

I want to congratulate Meredith on winning last week’s caption contest with her caption, FOOOOOOOOOOOD Fight!
Here is a brand new pic, equally as ridiculous that needs a good caption so let’s get those weekend thinking caps going and get some smiles going.

Hope you are looking forward to a wonderful weekend of either unabashed craziness or rejuvenating serenity.
much weekend love

FOOOOOOOOOOOD Fight! by Meredith…

On October 09, 2009 in Add your caption Friday

Aaahh Friday, always the source of good news for most folks. It’s a gray and almost rainy day here in NYC. The morning has started off very quiet and I am working slowly but surely on an old desktop that I had for eons since my laptop has been declared officially deceased by the computer doctors. Yes, a tragedy for sure but there are definitely bigger problems in life so I will not lose sleep over it and appreciate the fact that at least I have this one.

I know it’s been a while since our last Add Your Caption Friday but here we are again so let’s have some fun and this picture surely lends itself to some ridiculous captions. Click the comment link below to leave your caption. I will announce the winner to this week’s caption contest next Friday and then we do it all again with a brand spanking new picture.

To everyone that’s been asking about upcoming shows, we are in the process of setting up shows but it’s not always easy to square things away with the venues so as soon as I know anything I promise to let you know and post the info.

In the meantime, I am also bringing back something that I enjoyed very much last year and that is the “Cover of the Week Contest.” If you have a song that you would enjoy for me to sing and record, send me your suggestion to my email: adrianedward1@gmail.com
I will choose one request a week and dedicate it to the winner and post it by the end of the week. I have started with The Frays’ Never Say Never to get things started since I love that song and will choose next weeks winner by the end of this week October 10. Good Luck!

Have a great start to this weekend and hope you get to have some fun and forget about any stress
much rainy love

Add Your Caption Friday…

On July 24, 2009 in Add your caption Friday

Friday has rolled around once again and although the sun was teasing us all morning, it finally managed to make it’s way through the cloudy sky. It’s been very breezy today and it’s not a bad way to start this weekend. Have to go to get my phone fixed as water got inside of it and my 4,8 and # keys aren’t working making it rather impossible to call anyone or texting. All my messages have no spaces, no t,u,v’s and no g,h, i’s. It does make for some of the silliest messages ever!

I have a lesson to teach in the city and then tonight is the rehearsal dinner for my friend George’s wedding. He is crazy with all the planning but excited and I’m very happy for him. I have never seen him this happy and although he’s a bit nervous, he’s excited for his wedding next week. I am not only honored to be his best man, but I also get to wear a tuxedo which is always snazzy so there are no complaints here ;)

So here we are yet again with a silly pic that needs a witty caption. Have fun with it and more than anything I hope you are having a beautiful start to this weekend. Remember to do something out of the ordinary and make this weekend stand out among the rest, you’ll be glad you did.

much love

Add Your Caption Friday…

So here I am, on my rooftop at 6:30am and I am only up here for the sole purpose of wanting to enjoy the sunrise. Only a few degrees above the horizon right now, the soft sun begins to warm up everything around me and I can feel it’s sweet rays pouring all over my skin, reminding me that this little miracle happens every single day, even while I slumber away only a few feet below. There is even not one cloud in the sky, absolutely incredible and I’m thinking that this morning has something infinitely wise to teach and I am going to get to the bottom of it ;)

Cloudless sky, a soft breathed sigh/
I can hear your call through the rising sun/
let’s rest here for a while/
watch the sun kiss your eyes/
i’ve become a fool again/simple and happy/
rooftops and teardrops/i’m a superman today/
delusional but focused/the sky awaits/
can you hear it?/come closer/
like jewel thieves/let’s make believe/
i steal for you and you for me/
what will you steal for me first?

A little rooftop inspiration if you will :) I know it’s been a while since our last ‘Add Your Caption Friday’ but I found too good of a picture to not start it up again, I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of it. For those that don’t know how this works, simply submit a funny caption for the pic below and next week I will choose a winner and post it as the title of the pic with credit of course. So have fun and I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I have a busy but enjoyable day ahead. Aside from starting it in such a peaceful way here on the roof, I have a few lessons to teach and then I am meeting up with my friend Tom to film some final footage for a video for my song ‘Home.’ We filmed some footage in Italy and I am anxious to get it done and actually share it with everyone so we are spending the day doing that which should be fun. I hope someone called the caterers. lol! Then I am rehearsing with my bass playing friend Doug, which you might recognize from some of the covers that I filmed late last year. We’re going to run through some tunes and work on some of my new stuff. A nice musical day but first breakfast, can’t forget that.

I am coming up with a new pic challenge for us in the next few days so get ready to be a little silly and have some fun.
have a wonderful morning and I will do the same, scouts honor :)
much rooftop love

Add Your Caption Friday…

On June 19, 2009 in Add your caption Friday

Friday Friday Friday is here folks! Yes, no need to do a double take, it’s true, the weekend has arrived. I for one, am excited about that fact and am looking forward to a fun weekend. Although I wanted to get some beach time, the fine people over at weather.com are saying it’s going to be a rainy weekend so I am not sure that the beach is going to be part of my agenda :(

There has been a lot going on with name change and all but what I am most excited about is that I finally get to start playing again. Starting next I will be playing in some small venues in the city to try out some of the new material that I have been working on since being in Italy. I like to get the songs up to a certain performance level before I record them. Also, I enjoy to see which songs get the best responses. I will most likely be doing those as acoustic sets and then go out with the full band soon. Can’t wait and since my favorite place to be is on stage, I anxiously await like a kid on Christmas morning.

Today I am off to have some brunch, then hav to head back for a quick meeting and then I go through my musical training routine. Tango is still on my radio, has been all morning and hopefully tonight I will have my salsa lesson so dance is definitely in the air.

And just in case anyone is new to the ‘Add Your Caption Friday’ postings, basically it’s a weekly contest to see who comes up with the best caption for the silly and ridiculous picture posted below. Just to have a little fun to share together :)

have a most amazing weekend and I will make every effort to do the same
much love

Oh yes, the weekend has arrived once again and my favorite type of weekend at that, one with a performance waiting. Tonight is our show in a small town called Palaia. The neat thing is that it’s a national holiday today so there will be tons of people out and about enjoying the festivities. However fun tonight will be, we had a nice little surprise during rehearsal last night that was extremely fun and exciting.

We didn’t know it but in the studios that we rehearse at, they record a radio program every week for an Italian radio station. During the middle of our rehearsal, they asked us if we wanted to do an interview. Of course we said yes and although the interview was going to be for my friends band because they live here, they presented me also as a solo artist and finished the program with one of my tunes. We were having so much fun and it will air on May 27 and I will certainly post up the link when the day arrives so we can all listen to my attempt at speaking Italian! Promise me you’ll be nice ;)

I want to congratulate June on winning last week’s caption contest with her caption: “Thank you for saving me Mario! But the Princess is in another castle…” Congrats June! Here is a brand new ridiculous picture that is just begging for a perfect caption so I hope you have fun with it.

I hope everyone has a beautiful start to this weekend and I promise to take plenty of pics tonight to share from the show.
much musical love

Another Friday has arrived and now I must say that time is going by rather quickly. But it’s okay because it reflects having a good time overall so I am not complaining in the least.

Last night’s show went extremely well and although the night started off rainy and quite gloomy, it turned out to be a very charming night and we not only had a great time playing music but we also met some very welcoming and friendly people which always makes my night that much happier. I love to play music, there is not much doubt about that, but any night is made so much more pleasant when it is shared with good people and that’s exactly what last night was. By the end of the night, everyone was hugging and kissing goodbye like we’ve known each other for years. We were not only invited to come back to play there but one guy who was there with his fiance asked us to play at his wedding! They were such a cute couple and although I can’t do it, my friends will probably help him out with some music.

I was so excited that I only slept for a few hours but feel completely energized, for now at least :) We’ll see what happens in the evening. But for now, I want to congratulate Haven on winning last week’s caption contest with the caption: “Pig-pen at age 65~” Congrats Haven! And here we are with another ridiculous picture as always in need of a caption, so fire away!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend
much love

Friday rolls around once again and it’s another beautiful sunny day here in the town of Empoli. I played a soccer match last night and I am sore as sore can be but I had such a great time. I played midfield so there weren’t too many scoring opportunities but it was so much fun and I got a few pictures to share with you that I included in this week’s slide show on Rhenworld.com

It was so great to play a full scale 11 vs. 11 game. I don’t get a chance to do that very often and it was a real treat and very tiring! Tuesday night is another game but a smaller field and only 5 vs. 5, I can’t wait. I found that I enjoy the game more and more the older I get. I like the exercise it provides and the strategy between the team is very rewarding when you connect with a couple of players to set up good plays.

Today I am resting up, taking it easy and getting some work done for Rhen so I should be completely recharded by tomorrow. I want to congratulate Meredith on winning the caption contest for the pic a few weeks back with her caption, “Hey, turn around; here’s your pot of gold.” Congrats Meredith! Here is a brand new pic in desperate need of a funny caption. Strange pic indeed :)

hope everyone is having a most perfect day so far or slumber if you are still in bed :)

Friday, the most anticipated day of the week I would assume. Let me tell you something ridiculous about this NYC Friday…it snowed this morning!! Yes, you read right, it snowed, on the first day of spring no less. That is an insult to calendars everywhere and something should be done about it!

Enough of that or I’m going to get really mad ;) I want to congratulate Laarni on winning last week’s caption contest with her caption, “Well, if you think it can’t get any worse, GUESS where I put the ladder!!!” Congrats Laarni!!! Here is a brand new, very silly picture to have some fun with.

Hope everyone’s day is chuggin’ along nicely and that you’re happy that it’s Friday.

It’s Friday already? Wow, that was a fast week! Although I am excited that the weekend is here, I am not too excited because I had kind of a rough night and feel a bit stressed out waking up this morning. Too much going on inside this ol’ noggin’ of mine and I need to slow down the RPM’s. If it were only that easy. Well, I guess in a way it could be. I am going to do my darndest to take it easy and keep the stress levels low.

In the meantime, I want to congratulate Paula for winning last week’s caption contest with her caption, “*glub* Thank you….*glub*….thank you very much….*glub*.” Congrats Paula! I present you a new, hopefully equally as ridiculous picture to have some fun with.

Have a wonderful morning and I promise to try and to do the same.
much de-stressing love
