What was your favorite subject in school?…
On August 31, 2008 in Thoughts in the evening...
Good Sunday evening to all. I am wiped out and ready for some relaxation. I just got back from CT and although everything went smooth and traffic was at a minimum, all the hours of driving really wore me out. I’m going to grab some dinner, sit down with a movie and just chill.
What about you, what have you been up to today? Hope this Labor Day weekend is going well so far. I have gotten some messages from you telling me that you’re sitting back and recharging your batteries. I am glad to hear that. And for those that aren’t relaxing as much as you would like, I hope tomorrow proves to be the day for that. Andof course, for those that are dealing with the storms, my prayers are with you and hopefully it will subside quickly.
The sun is just about setting here and the streets are eerily quiet and it’s wonderful. Very few people walking around, cars seem to be few and far in between, definitely bizarre for a NYC afternoon. It’s nice to see the city slow down once in a while, I think it’s a healthy thing and although I am terrible at slowing down myself, I heartily encourage it and support it.
So tonight I want to know one thing from you: What was your favorite subject in school? Now, I am talking grade school thru high school only because I am assuming that once you were in college you began studying your personal major and nothing can compete with that. For me, and I hate to admit this, I had no favorite subject. I never liked school and although I did fine with grades and all that, school was not for me. So my answer: none!
Have a beautiful night and and even better tomorrow

Peaceful Hallelujah Sunday…
On August 31, 2008 in Peaceful Sunday
Beautiful Sunday morning, that’s all I can say. I feel good and alive and ready for whatever this day brings. I am off to Connecticut with my brother in-law, part business, part pleasure and should be a fun day. I have to leave soon so I will make my salutation with you this morning brief but no less sincere.
This morning I am sharing with you a beautiful song, Hallelujah, originally composed by Leonard Cohen and performed here by Rufus Wainwright. It’s a gorgeous song and perfect for this morning. Hope you enjoy it and have a spectucular morning. See you tonight.

Have you ever seen anything you couldn’t explain?…
On August 30, 2008 in Thoughts in the evening...
Saturday evening, always a fun time. The sky continues to be gray but the rain has not stopped by for too long a visit yet. Hopefully we’ll see the rain later on. It’s been a quiet day so far. Got some work done and then tried to install a shelf in my living room. Yes, I said tried because apparently my wall is made of silly putty and I need to get more anchors to make sure I don’t get awoken at 3am with the falling of some random picture frames and candles!
Don’t know what to do tonight yet but I definitely need to get outside because……….oh quick interuption: the rain has started and I am a happy man. Now I definitely need to go out and enjoy this.
So with that said, I will get to tonight’s question: Have you ever seen anything you couldn’t explain? I’ve had this conversation dozens of times with different people and I really like to hear everyone’s stories. I myself have never seen anything inexplicable. No UFO’s or any late night mysteries for me. I have heard stories from many folks but have never had an experience like that myself. What about you, anything strange that you can’t explain?
have a night of perfection and I’ll see ya in the morning
much unexplainable love

Now that’s insurance!…

Who knew? And all this time they made such a fuss about life, health and auto. lol!
Good morning fellow friends. It has been a gray, cool and rainy morning here in the streets of New York. As always, I love a good rainy morning. What I don’t love is that summer is on it’s way out, but I will leave that rant for another time. Today’s schedule is wide open and I have yet to decide what to do with it. I have some quick Rhen stuff to resolve and then I think it’s time for some soccer in the afternoon. If I know anything about soccer nuts is that a little rain is not going to keep them away from the park today.
Hope your morning is going superbly and I will see you all tonight.
much rainy love

Have you ever been snorkeling? Scuba diving?…
On August 29, 2008 in Thoughts in the evening...
Friday evening, what a beautiful place to be. The work day is just about over and I am getting ready to have some fun tonight. I think sushi is in order. It’s been too long since my last sushi outing and there is a nice little place here in the neighborhood that I haven’t been to yet.
It was a good week, busy, but a good one nonetheless. August has been an interesting month. On the surface, it didn’t have much flash or excitement, but beneath a lot of the things that occured were moments of lessons and things that I needed to learn. It’s funny because times like these aren’t really appreciated much until they are long gone and you can look back and see what actually went down and why but I am trying to be grateful for the events as they come and not be so caught up in making everything perfect all the time. Perfection in this life is the ever elusive elixir and one that I’m pretty sure doesn’t exist. And even if it did, it’s most likely in our mind rather than having anything to do with our circumstances. Bummer, huh? lol!
So tonight is a question we would wind up asking if we were on the topic of vacations or hobbies: Have you ever been snorkeling? Scuba diving? I have never done either of those things and as much as I like watching Discovery Channel shows on the subject, it’s not really for me. I like the beach, swimming, volleyball and even being on a boat in the ocean, but don’t ask me to jump in that ocean to explore the depths.
have a wonderfully treasure hunting night sweet friends
much oxygenated love

Friday is here, yesiree bob! I actually overslept a few minutes today so I had to do one of those get up and run like a madmen to get ready but all is calm now and I am in a more peaceful state. But with that loss of time, I must get to work so I will make this post short and sweet and give you anew picture to caption.
I want to congratulate last week’s winner Aida with her caption, “It’s an artistic tribute to Milk.”
Have a good time with this one and I can’t wait to read your captions.
Have a sweet day my friends and I’ll see ya tongiht

Do you prefer baths or showers?
On August 28, 2008 in Thoughts in the evening...
Top of the evening to ya. I’m out on Long Island tonight at my folks house and it’s nice to be in a quiet neighborhood, something that rarely happens back in Brooklyn. I’m definitely not complaining but once in a while I welcome some peace and quiet. My folks house is not on a major street so even cars passing by are few and far between.
I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers today with my pop. All the tests went well and we move on to another day. We ate lunch together, had a few laughs and I let hime listen to the two new Rhen tracks. I am blessed to have a family that has supported my music from the very beginning. My dad is a painter and my grandfather was a sculpltor so we know the life of the artist very well. At least I can’t blame my parents for not letting me know how tough the artist’s life is. lol! I’m kidding, I wouldn’t trade it for anything, even with the bumps and bruises.
So tonight’s question is one of sheer preference. Do you prefer baths or showers? I myself prefer showers. You’re in, you’re out, it’s a quick affair. Although once in a blue moon I actually take a bath, it’s definitely not often.
hope you’re having a great late afternoon.
much clean love

Where did you say you lived again?…
On August 28, 2008 in Daily Musing
Did not one city planner see this one? C’mon, you know he or she is laughing their ass off with this and they can’t believe it got approved. lol!
Good morning sweet folk. Another spectular day here in the big city and I am still lazying around in bed enjoying some quiet time before the day gets officially going. Today I am taking off work to take my pops to the doctor. Please keep him in your prayers as it’s been a rough time lately for him and my family. I am looking forward to seeing him and my mom and spending the day with them. It’s been hectic at work the past week and time has been limited.
Last night was fun because I had already crawled into bed but my friend called me up at 1am to see if I wanted to go for a quick snack run. If anyone knows anything about me is that I can’t turn down a late night run for anything. Well, maybe not drugs or to rob a bank, but anything else, I’m game! He works at a bakery at night and gets out late so once in a while we’ll hit the pool hall or grab some late night food.
Anyhoo, have a slpendid morning and I will see you all tonight.
much sunny love

Do you own a bicycle?
On August 27, 2008 in Thoughts in the evening...
Whew, am I tired! Today was a long work day and I am happy that it is over, or at least the work part of the day. I am off to play some soccer and energize up for the rest of the night. I have a lot of Rhen stuff to take care of tonight and I want to play some soccer, shower up, grab some food and get workin’. I have some interesting life changes that are happening at the end of the year and as they get closer to fruition I promise that will share them with you. I am really excited and looking forward to realizing those changes and seeing things from a new perspective, ya know?
What about you, whacha up to tonight? What’s cookin’ in your fine world? Hope you have a great time whatever you are doing or wind up doing. Tonight’s question is a good summer question and one that might even be more approppriate with the whole gas crisis: Do you own a bicycle? I, strangely enough do not. I’m always saying okay, this year I’m definitely getting one and I never do. I used to have one and it got stolen and I have yet to replace it. Maybe next year? lol!
have a gorgeous night my friends and do something to make this special, even if it feels like it’s not special at all, trust me, it is. And I say this to myself especially because although this year has proven to be a tough one so far, full of challenges and dissapointments, there is always something special to enjoy and be grateful for.
much two wheeled love

Maybe marriage isn’t for me…
On August 27, 2008 in Daily Musing
Now that sends a nice and clear message. lol! I was cracking up when I saw this. The funny thing is that it seems like it’s a really well made cake. This is no amateur production. Well, let’s hope they had better luck than that.
Good morning folks. I had a great night’s rest last night and althugh I am not thrilled about going to work, I am feeling quite energetic for the day so bring it on! Yesterday turned out to be a really productive night and I got a lot of stuff done that I had been putting off for a while. You know all those little paper filing things, unopened mail & organizational stuff that always seem to find their way to the bottom of the to-do list. Well, at least for me they do but yesterday I knocked them off and hopefully it will be a few weeks since I see them again.
Have a great and fun day today. It’s a nice and cool Wednesday here in NYC and I hope it’s a good one wherever you are as you read these words.
much sweet love
