Are you handy and good at fixing things?…
On January 31, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...
Good evening sweet friends. The night is ever so quiet here in the streets of NY. Very few people out there. Granted I dont’ live in the middle of Times Square, but where I’m at, the streets are quiet. It’s been a good day. Rather relaxing and I am feeling good. Gonna see if I can get out and enjoy the night a bit and see what awaits.
Tonight I thought I’d ask a very practical question:
———————————————-
Are you handy and good at fixing things?
———————————————-
I myself am quite handy when it comes to fixing things except and this is a very important except!…..electrical and cars. The scary thing is that I have tinkered with electrical problems but I’d rather not
And as for cars, I never really grew up fixing them up or interested in them all that much so you won’t see me under the car on a weekend trying to get some more horsepower out of the engine. lol!
I hope you have an incredible night and have been enjoying the weekend immensely.
much handy love

Note: Umbrellas do not protect you from the wind!…
On January 31, 2009 in Daily Musing
When it’s that windy, just put the umbrella away. lol!
Good sleepy Saturday morning. I just got back from an early rehearsal and add to that the fact that I didn’t sleep much and this morning has all the makings of a sleepy one. I feel like everything I am doing is going in slow motion
But nevertheless, I am feeling good and coffee is brewing and I am excited about getting this day in full gear.
I also wanted to announce that the voting for the Mayercraft contest that I have been asking everyone to vote for has officially come to a close. The website posted that they are in the process of tallying everything up so we shall know soon enough. Let’s hope for the best and I did want to thank you for your support and love for me and my music, it means mor than words could express.
have a beautifu morning and I will see you tonight
much windy love

What’s your dream job?….
On January 30, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...
Friday…Friday…Friday!! Get it while it’s hot! Good evening to everyone. I am feeling much better and more than anything I am glad the weekend is here. I have reserved plenty of down time for the weekend and am looking forward to some straight out fun with no responsibilities or to-do lists, imagine that? lol!
Hope your week ended well and that you’re looking forward to some good times over the next few days.
I thought I’d usher in the weekend with a fun question:
————————————————
What’s your dream job?
————————————————
I don’t even feel like I need to answer this one but I will anyway. lol! Although I am technically already living my dream job of being a musician, I will add that the full realization of my dream job will be when a complete world tour occurs
One step at a time, but it’s a comin’
have an amazing weekend my friends and thank you for all the kind words of support and encouragement this week
much dreamy love

“The Genie said to….The Old Man and The Sea…”your wish is granted!” by Connie
On January 30, 2009 in Add your caption Friday
Much to everyone’s delight, including mine, Friday has arrived. I haven’t been so happy to see a Friday come along in quite some time. I am looking forward to the weekend and have reserved a fair amount of fun time to balance what has otherwhise been a very difficult week.
And with that said, we move into better times and enjoy the moments at hand. I want to congratulate Debra on winning last week’s caption of the week with her caption: “I swear, Goldilocks is NOT in here.” Congrats Debra! As usual, I have prepared a brand new pic that needs captioning and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
have a wonderful morning and I will see ya tonight for a little coffee and some good convo
much love

Have you ever gone to karaoke?…
On January 29, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...
Buona sera a tutti. A rather chilly evening here in NYC and the night is quiet with very few people hustling about outside. Most everyone is toasty inside and enjoying an evening indoors. I too, am following suit and staying in tonight. I will be recording another song to share with all of you tonight. The song is Leonard Coen’s Hallelujah. It’s a beautiful song that I shared on a Sunday morning once but I wanted to give it a Rhen spin and share it with you. I’ll post it up as usual once I edit it.
So tonigh I thought I’d ask a fun and silly question:
———————————————–
Have you ever gone to karaoke?
———————————————–
I purposely didn’t ask if you’ve karaoked before but the question is if you’ve ever gone somewhere specifically to karaoke. It was a few years ago but I did go with a few friends of mine. I had dinner with some friends and my friend Peter and his girlfriend suggested karaoke and how much fun it was. I was a bit skeptical that it would be fun but boy did I change my mind quickly. We had such a blast and all I remember is laughing till our sides hurt that night, it was great.
have a warm and cozy evening unless of course you are in a warm climate in which case I am super jealous ![]()
much karaoke love

Finally, the two families unite!…
On January 29, 2009 in Daily Musing
Almost as monumental as the Montagues and Capulets! I love these wedding announcements, there’s always a few that are hysterical, much like this one. lol!
Good morning sweet friends. I wish I could say today started much better than yesterday but alas, I cannot lie, especially here, where we always try to keep life out in the open and real with both the good and the bad. It looks it’s just going to be one of those weeks. I’m okay with this and as I often recognize to my benefit, I am surrounded with so much love and support, that these days or weeks go unnoticed once they pass and it will pass most definitely
So with all of that said, I wish you all a beautiful day and I promise to do my part to slow down and have some quiet moments.
much love

What do you do to de-stress?…
On January 28, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...
And a good evening to everybody. Well, almost good
Though the day hasn’t yet fully balanced itself out, I will say that it has turned out much better than it has begun and for this I am truly grateful. The truth is that, as we’ve talked about many times, life is a combination of a lot of different types of moments and difficult days is definitely one of those types of days.
And so on this difficult eve, I ask you:
—————————————–
What do you do to de-stress?
—————————————–
I, although not practicing it too well right now, usually take my schedule and clear out a couple of days to do whatever it is the heck I feel like doing, however silly or nonsensical it is. That will usually do the trick to distance myself away enough to get a better perspective and realize that all will be okay. Another I do is exercise and that also helps a lot since when days get a bit tough, the first thing to go is exercise which leads to even more stress so I try to keep my physical activity going even through the tough times.
I wish you a great night and I promise to do my best to relax and take iteasy ![]()
much stress-less love

Doesn’t the sign mess up your lawn anyway? lol!…
On January 28, 2009 in Daily Musing
The only confusing thing is that with that sign on his lawn, he basically has the image of a dog doing his business all the time! lol! I was cracking up when I saw this.
Hope you were able to start the day with a smile. I must admit that my morning has not started all that better than the way my night ended last night. Already the first few phone calls and messages of the day have been negative news so I am just going to take it one thing at a time and get through this day as smooth as possible. If you notive me a little less energetic than usual, no need to worry, it’s just me trying to keep the boat as steady as possible. lol!
have a beautiful morning everyone and I will see y’all tonight.
much love

Have you ever had a near death experience?…
On January 27, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...
Good Tuesday evening to all. Today didn’t quite turn out as I had expected unfortunately. It was one of those days where everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Luckily, I have rehearsal in a few minutes and that always seems to smooth out a rough day so unless the band completely forgot all our music, it should help the night end on a much better note. lol!
Today was a ‘brick wall’ day. Everywhere I turned there seemed to be another one and as the days begins to come to a close, I stand here and proudly say that I will not let these brick walls get me down, rather I will only prove that I need to move forward even stronger and persevere through it. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Believe me, I wanted to sit and moan, and although I did a little bit of that, I press on and hold on to the fact that tomorrow is a brand spankin’ new day and anything could happen
So with that said and done, I move on to tonight’s question:
———————————————————
Have you ever had a near death experience?
———————————————————
I myself have not actually, but I like asking this question and hearing everyone’s answers.
Have a divine evening my friends and thank you for letting me always share my true days with you
much love

The TV goes inside the car my friend!…
On January 27, 2009 in Daily Musing
I think this guy might be the first electronic mobile billboard! lol!
It is the start of a beautiful day here in NYC. Well, I don’t know about the weather so much but I am feeling good and ready to kick this morning into high gear. There’s lots to do today and a rehearsal tonight so I must be off to get things rolling but not without stopping for a moment and sharing a smile with all of you to start the day. Difficult day or not, there’s always time for a good laugh with good friends
much love
