The guy in the back is going to have a rough landing!…
On April 30, 2009 in Daily Musing
I’m thinking that his race is probably over. lol!
It’s Thursday morning here and I stare up at the most beautiful of clouds and enjoy some warm sunshine on my skin. I see an older man walking his dog, a woman pass by on her bicycle and workman doing there thing at a nearby house. I am happy to be somewhere where it’s relatively quiet and outdoors since I woke up a bit stressed this morning. Nothing specific, just one of those days where your mind is already racing and awake before you’ve even had time to open your eyes, ya know? So I got in the shower, shaved, washed up, got in the car and came to work outside today instead of staying indoors. I feel the stress fading away a little at a time so I think it’s working so far
We have rehearsal at the studio tonight and tomorrow is the big show and I am really excited about it and can’t wait.
hope everyone has a most amazing day
much stressless love

I think the angry mob is going to win this one!…
On April 29, 2009 in Daily Musing
I am always one to root for the underdog but somehow I don’t think he’s going to win this one. lol!
Good morning to all. The rain continues here and I am extremely happy about that.I have met quite a few people here that don’t exactly like the rain and I am always amazed at how many people do not enjoy the rain. I could understand if you have a job that forces you to be outside all day, but these are folks that stay inside and they just simply don’t like rainy days. I say, the rainier the better. And yes, I am well aware that rainier is not an actual word, but we’ll act like it is just for today
We had a good rehearsal last night getting ready for Friday’s show in a small town called Palaia. The neat thing is they asked us to play a nice long set so we get to play some of the tunes that are normally cut out when we play a normal set so it should definitely be a fun show and I am really looking forward to it. Not to mention that this town has a fantastic restaurant right on the hill that we’re playing and we were invited to a nice dinner there. Whenever good food is near, I’m bound to have a great time, this is no secret!
Some people have asked if the time is going by fast or slow so far and up until now it was going by at a nice and relaxed pace but since I returned from Spain, it seems that the days are flying by so I’m making an extra effort to enjoy them and have as good a time as possible and not miss any of the details.
I hope everyone is having an amazing day whether there’s rain, sunshine or fog
much angry mob love

Batman’s early flight training…
On April 28, 2009 in Daily Musing
Somehow I’ve always thought that superheroes are born with all their skills. lol!
Good morning sweet friends. The sun is beaming as bright as can be today and the sky is dabbed with the most luscious clouds imagineable. In essence, quite the beautiful day so far and I’m liking it. It’s just about lunchtime and I was able to get a fair amount of work done this morning and my stomach is just about angry ready to kill me if I don’t pay it some attention and find some yummy Italian treats to fill it with.
I hope your day is off to an amazing start and I’m hoping I can drop by later on to say hi and see what y’all are up to.
much love

The thief ingenously tricked the search dogs yet again!…
On April 27, 2009 in Daily Musing
Although not typical, it was a very smart maneuver on this fugtives part. lol!
Good afternoon to all. I am finally back on my laptop once again and havin a grand ol’ time getting all the pictures posted from my trip to Spain. The flight back was great and I even tried to film a take-off and landing but this time instead of having forgotten my memory card, I forgot to charge the camera! If it’s not one thing, it’s another. I was laughing to myself about that one. I know I’ve said it before but I love being in a plane and I still feel like a little kid every time we take off and I can see the clouds below us, simply miraculous.
I had a very good night’s rest and am ready to get rehearsing for our show this Friday in a town called Palai. From what I’ve been told, it’s a yearly celebration they have and the whole town is out and about and our show is outdoors so it should definitely be a fun time and I am looking forward to it.
I am getting quite hungry so I am off to satiate that need and see what I can find.
much love and a wonderful day to everyone

Made it to the mountain top WITH the memory card!…
On April 25, 2009 in Daily Musing
That´s right, I had to go back and take some pictures of that beautiful view. Not to mention that I know that if I couldn´t prove that I was there, it will forever be left in speculation and no one will ever truly believe me ;) So obviously, I had no choice but to go back, bring the camera AND the memory card and prove to everyone that I am no charlatan, but actually climbed that dang thing!
Only one snag however. Since I can´t use my own laptop here at this internet cafe, the pics to prove my achievement will take me a few days to share with everyone until I get back to Italy so for now, you´ll just have to take my word for it.
Tonight is our show and I cannot lie, I am not as excited as usual for a live show but I´m sure I will have fun once I am there setting everything up and doing sound check. I have always been honest with everyone in how I was feeling and although usually I am doing a little jig the day of a performance, today I am feeling a little lethargic and without a huge amount of inspiration.
But it will fun I´m sure and also promise to take some pictures and post them as soon as I am able to back in Italy once I get the use of my trusty laptop once again.
have a most wonderful morning and I will see you all back in the land of olive trees and vineyards tomorrow.
much love

A quick update from Spain…
On April 24, 2009 in Daily Musing
Good Spanish morning to all. It has been quite difficult to get my hands on a good connection since I arrived here on Tuesday but I was able to get myself into an internet cafe and bea able to at least share a few words and say hi to everyone.
So far it´s been a good trip and we had our first rehearsal last night. I was pleased with the rehearsal and although I wish we would have time for a few more, the show is tomorrow and it´s going to be fine so I´m not going to worry about it. As a musician, you always want it to be a little better!
Today we are headed to Madrid to spend the day and I am looking forward to being in a big city since this is quite a small town where I am staying. Yesterday I took a little hike and climbed one of the peaks here called ´Honey Peak´and the funny thing is that I took my camera only to reach the top and realize that I forgot my memory card. And yes, I did feel like a big dork for forgetting it. lol! But I did snap some pics of the mountain to share and will post those up when I get back to Italy on Sunday. Since I am on a public computer, I can´t dowload any funny pics or upload any of my pics so today´s post is without a pic
Hope everyone is having a beautiful morning or whatever part of day you find yourself reading these words
much spanish love

I think this is the last time she goes bungee jumping!…
On April 22, 2009 in Daily Musing
Somehow I don’t think she will be signing up anytime soon to get on that thing again. lol!
Good amazing morning from the lovely streets of Spain. Not only am I in Spain, but I get to speak spanish once again which I haven’t been able to do for the past month. Although I am feeling more and more comfortable with my Italian each day, it’s a relief to not have to think in my mind when I walk into a store about what I’m going to ask.
We went yesterday to check out the venue and it was so neat because posters with my big ol’ face were everywhere, it was so awesome. They are really excited about the show and tomorrow is our first rehearsal and then Friday we are heading over to the venue to play a few acoustic tunes to promote the show for Saturday, can’t wait. Today I am going for a jog around to get to know the neighborhood a bit and get some exercise in there as well. The guys I’m staying with also go to a gym so I don’t have to break my routine for the week wich I am very pleased about.
Anyhoo, just wanted to stop in, share a laugh and let you all know that I am safe, having a great time and continuing the adventure.
much bungee love

From my layover in Rome…
On April 21, 2009 in Daily Musing
How’s this for up to the minute updates! I am literally at the airport in Rome awaiting to board my connecting flight to Madrid at 2:30pm or should I say 14:30. The flight from Florence to Rome was super quick and I barely was enjoying the clouds below us when the captain annoucned that we were getting ready to land. I love takeoffs and landings so much and enjoy each and every one of them so you will never find me complaining about layovers.
It’s a cloudy day today but the temperature is beautiful so it should prove to be a perfect day. I was actually nervous leaving this morning and kept having that feeling that I was forgetting something important that I was going to need, ya know? I don’t think I forgot anything critical but I won’t really know till I get there so I’ll worry about that later. Right now, my only job is to enjoy this experience and see what interesting moments lay ahead. I am looking forward to speaking Spanish for a while since I’ve been talking nothing but Italian. It’s going to be nice to not have to make an effort to translate in my head! lol!
Have a wonderful morning and I don’t know what my internet situation will be there but I’m sure I will find a cafe or somewhere to jack into and keep everyone up to speed with what’s happening.
much Roman love

Do you like to go bowling?…
On April 20, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...
I think I have seen more sunsets on this trip than in my entire life! It has been such a wonderful surprise to have a place overlooking the direction of the sunset. I wish I could say I get up early enough to see the sunrise, but that would be a lie and I am pleased as punch that our house faces the sunset and I have been fortunate enough to catch it on most days.
As the sun was setting before, I just sat on the staircase leading up to the door and just looked out and soaked in the moment. There are certain moments in life where you can honestly say that all the tension, worries, plans and the rest melt away and you’re just left with the present to enjoy. That was one of those moments and I make sure to appreciate it because they tend to not happen very often.
So tonight I ask a very silly question, but one that is relevant since I went just a few days ago:
————————————
Do you like to go bowling?
————————————
Well, that would be an affirmative. Not only did I go a few days ago but I actually love to bowl and I used to go more than I do now but I have the had the pleasure of going a few days ago as well as a few weeks ago and it’s always a fun time. I find that you always wind up laughing like crazy and having a great time. The lanes here aren’t as good as back in the states, but we had a blast nonetheless.
I have finally posted up some new pics to share from this past week. Click the pic below to check them out or click here.
have a beautiful night everyone and I will most likely not see you for a bit since my flight is tomorrow to Madrid but I’ll check in as soon as I can.
much spare love

It’s not everday you see an orange car!…
On April 20, 2009 in Daily Musing
Yes, it’s true, an actual orange car, who would have thought! lol!
Good morning to everyone. Well, actually it’s the afternoon here but I know for many of you the day is just starting. It’s a beautiful sunny day and I am having a most productive day so far. Got a lot of stuff done and am about to go to lunch with some friends.
We had such a great time yesterday at the lunch and not only was the meal delicious and everyone extremely friendly and loving but after the meal we were requested to bring down our intruments and play some songs. We gladly fulfilled their request and continued to have an absolute blast. People were dancing and little did I know that many of them had been hearing my CD for the past few weeks so not only did I get requests but they were actually singing along! I was so flattered and it only reminds me that I am where I need to be and doing the job that I am meant to be doing. we played our hearts out and had a wonderful afternoon amidst a rainy hillside and plenty of good laughs and moments shared with good people. There were Italians, Brazilians, Americans and 1 Argentine
It was a language bonanza and amazingly enough we all understood each other!
Tomorrow I leave for Madrid and I can’t wait. All the arrangements have been made and I am looking forward to yet another adventure with my music. I stand a grateful man and I thank you all for your beautiful messages, encouragements and sharing of this life with me. Nothing is worth it if it’s not shared with good friends.
have a wonderful day and I will make sure to do the same
much love
