Misspelled for the best of purposes!…

On May 29, 2009 in Daily Musing

Now that is a good way of getting a message across. I like this type of creativity. lol!

The rain keeps coming and it seems as though there is no end anytime soon. When it rains in the summer or spring, I especially like it at ngiht because there is the perfect amount of chill in the air. Makes for many nice evenings. Even taking in some coffee and dessert on rainy nights seems to have a little more charm. Well, that’s my view on it at least :)

I have a busy day ahead of me so I am going to get crackin’. I hope a good day and most importantly, a great weekend awaits for you as well.
much misspelled louve and I will see you tonight

Are you a vegetarian?…

On May 28, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...

Soup & salad is the order of the night for dinner. The neat thing is that I picked up a whole bunch of cooking tips and techniques while I was in Italy so I actually look forward to cooking now, imagine that, miracles do happen. It’s not that I disliked cooking before but I felt that it was too time consuming so I would mostly order out. But now I am really enjoying it and also eating much healthier. Although I try and stay in as best shape as I can, my diet fluctuates at times form really healthy to not so healthy so this desire to cook came at just the perfect time. I feel much more energetic and even my mind feels clearer.

It’s drizzling outside and the night feels wonderful and I am watching Monsters Inc. Billy Crystal is hysterical in that movie and I hadn’t seen it in a long time and I wanted to watch something light and funny so I remembered tha movie. Anyhoo, enough of all that and onto tonight’s question:
—————————-
Are you a vegetarian?
—————————-
I am definitely not a vegetarian. Although I am eating much less meat these days than I did in the past, I love a good steak, a tender piece of chicken or well prepared seafood. I can’t even really say I’ve ever even tried it before but I admire anyone that can not eat meat because as much as I love fruits and vegetables, I find it hard to eliminate meat from my diet.

I hope your night is a great one and one that provides an unexpected yet good surprise :)

It was common to see wildlife on the cycling tour!…

On May 28, 2009 in Daily Musing

I love the faces of the cyclists, they can’t believe it! lol!

Good wonderful cloudy morning to all. I was so excited to read everyone’s answer to the cereal question last night, especially between here on the blog and Facebook. I knew my friends were all fellow cereal lovers. Not to mention it gives us all a little glimpse into our morning meals or maybe even our late nate snacks for some. I love to eat cereal at anytime so it’s definitely not only a breakfast thing for me :)

Today continues to be cloudy although it’s not raining yet. I am feeling good and it’s going to be a busy day with lots to do but I welcome it and look forward to a fun day alongside the responsibilities.
I hope your day also grooves along nicely and I we’ll meet up tonight for another fun question.

What’s your favorite cereal?…

On May 27, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...

What can I say except that it’s a beautiful night tonight, plain and simple. I was just over my friends house to visit him and his family. His son just bought a hamster and he wanted to show his uncle Adrian. So cute and they had the little wheel and everything. My friend thinks that between both of his sons that the poor hamster won’t last two weeks! lol! We’ll see what happens, he might be a tougher cookie than we than think :)

A very productive day as well a very enjoyable one. I am feeling more confident than ever that not only good things are waiting around the corner but that there are also plenty of great things happening already that I can enjoy as well. I am learning that it’s not wrong to plan for big things, but it’s just as important to appreciate the present moment as well. A great friend reminded me of that and I am most appreciative.

So tonight’s question might seem silly but it’s something we can all identify with and something dear to my heart:
———————————-
What’s your favorite cereal?
———————————-
Although I have been chomping down on Honey Nut Cheerios this past year like crazy, it is not my favorite. My actual favorite is Chex. I ate it growing up as well as Alphabits, which was delicious as well, but Chex still makes my day.

have a most wonderful night and I will see you in the morning for some breakfast :)

Grandma gets the hottest wheels in the hood!…

On May 27, 2009 in Daily Musing

Now that’s the way to cruise around town! I love this pic and wish I had pictures of her actually driving it around. You’re never too old to do anything :)

Good rainy Wednesday morning. Today has all the makings of a good day waiting to happen. It’s going to be a busy one as I have work to get done right from the getgo but I am feeling good and ready to take it on. The neat thing is that I am still on a high from being away so I am taking advantage of that extra energy and putting it to good use. I spoke to my manager last night and we have a lot of things to take care of in the next coming weeks but I am excited and will certainly keep everyone posted with any developments.

And so I am off to start this day and wish everyone a productive, yet very enjoyable day. It can be done, I promise ;)

Do you like spending time alone?…

On May 26, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...

Good Tuesday evening to all. What started off as a sunny day has turned into a rainy evening. As always, I am more than fine with that and hope the rain continues all through the night. There’s something so inspiring, so delicious and so enjoyable about the rain that I find hard to put into words. The good thing is that you don’t need to put it into words in order to enjoy it so much so I won’t even try and only hope that you also get as much pleasure out of the rain as I do :)

Today was a very productive day and not only did I get a lot done but I also received a bit of good news that made me quite happy. My drummer, mister George Taxi, is getting married in August and he gave me the honor to be his best man. I couldn’t believe it and was so glad that he asked me. I am truly happy for him and he not only found a beautiful and sweet woman but he is the happiest I’ve ever seen him and I know they are going to make a great team together. He certainly deserves it as he is one of the nicest people that I know. I want to publicly congratulate him and Maribel on their engagement!

So once again we begin our question asking sessions which makes me happy:
————————————–
Do you like spending time alone?
————————————–
I so like spending time alone. Although I do enjoy time spent with friends, family and the occasional bigger get together, I definitely appreciate and enjoy my time alone. I know some people that never like to be alone but that is definitely not me. I don’t think so well when I am constantly surrounded by people so I need quiet time here and there.

I hope you have a most wonderful night and as always, I appreciate you sharing a little part of your night and thoughts here with me

Puff Daddy finally sees a $1 bill!…

On May 26, 2009 in Daily Musing

He doesn’t even understand what he’s looking at! lol!

Good morning my sweet friends. Life finally gets back into the swing of things and I’m feeling good, energized and focused. The good thing is that I’m also feeling very grateful and appreciative of all that I have around me and all the people that I have in my life. Now that the trip is over and I can look back at all I’ve learned and experienced, one of my favorite parts was realizing that I had so many friends surrounding me and I wanted to publicly thank everyone for being so supporting and loving not just in regards to my music and career but also to me as a person. A million times thank you and it’s love like that which gives me the strength to keep doing what I’m doing day in and day out.

I wish you all a beautiful morning and I will for the first time in a while, see you tonight for a fun question :)
much $1 love

Memorial Day Monday…

On May 25, 2009 in Daily Musing

Good morning. It is 8:12 am on this 2009 Memorial Day and what begun as a very cloudy and rainy day has turned into a very sunny and beautiful morning. I will keep this morning’s post brief since the purpose of this day is to remember those brave men and women who died while in military service.

I know personally I am very grateful for the liberties that I have the privilege of experiencing in this country and that I owe a lot of gratitude to those who risked their lives in order to establish those liberties. My heart and prayers go out to all those families that suffer the loss of a loved one due to military service as well as a huge debt of thanks as well for serving our country the way they did.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day
much love

Peaceful Angel Eyes Sunday…

On May 24, 2009 in Peaceful Sunday

Good first Sunday morning back in NYC to everyone!!!! Yes, the day has arrived and I am once again writing to you from the streets of Brooklyn. I will not lie, it does feel a bit strange but not as strange as I thought it would. You know when you’re away from home for a bit and you return, everything tends to seem a bit different and strange at first. That didn’t happen in this case. Maybe it’s just a signal that it was time to come home.

My friend picked me up at the airport yesterday and he asked me what impacted me the most from the trip. Not an easy question to answer but one that I know will continue to develop as time goes by. One thing I can say for sure is that these types of experiences change you in a great way if you let them. I don’t feel I am the same person that left a few months ago. I feel privileged to have been able to see the places I did, share my music with so many new people and gain a new perspective on many things that I thought were only black and white when I left. In essence, it was a great trip and I have no complaints :)

So, in starting back with tradition, we begin the day with some music. I have been listening to this song for the past few days and it’s a song that I used to love years ago by a guitarist Jeff Healey. Sadly, he passed away not too long ago but he was  an icredible player and singer, not mention that he was also blind. I have been a fan of his for years. It’s a very sweet love song with sweet lyrics and I thought it a good way to start this day.

I want to thank each and every person that has been so supportive, sweet and loving to me during the past few months. You don’t know how much that keeps someone sane when they are far away from home for so long. Thank you, a million times thank you :)
much angel eyes love

Once again at the airport in Rome…

On May 21, 2009 in Daily Musing

And so once again I find myself waiting for my flight here in Rome. Our flight left quite early from Sicily, 6:10am and there was so much hustle and bustle already happening that you would have thought that it was the middle of the afternoon.

It was a bit of a stressful morning because the airline we flew recently had changed weight restrictions on smaller flights and we were hit with an overweight charge. That was annoying enough but the counter that had to charge us was run so poorly that by the time we got our boarding passes, the flight was already closing and we were being called on the loudspeakers over throughout the whole airport. Yes, it’s true, that plane was being grounded because of us. We still had security check to do and we ran like Olympic champions, taking off belts, throwing coins and metal objects into a plastic bin and then dashing for the gate where were met by a very friendly and beautiful check-in woman. She must have seen the panic in our eyes because she quickly let us know that everything was fine and the plane would not leave without us.

It took a few minutes to unwind from all the chaos but finally the plane took off and I was staring out the window enjoying the view of one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited so far during my time on this earth. I can’t wait to see what I get to see next :)

have a wonderful morning everyone and I hope your week has been a great one
much Roman love….again
