I am going to be offline for a few weeks…

On July 29, 2009 in Daily Musing

Good morning sweet friends. How are you this lovely morning. I am feeling well rested but I wasn’t feeling too hot last night. I went to play soccer yesterday evening and I think I must have pushed a bit too hard and when I got home, I was not feeling so good. I went to hang out with a friend of mine but then got home and was feeling quite nauseous so I went straight to bed and luckily woke up much better this morning.

I wanted to let everyone know that I will be offline for a few weeks and I didn’t want anyone to think that anything was wrong. It’s just that there’s a lot of stuff to do with the name change, including new websites, copyright stuff and a ton of other details that are quite time consuming. Also I have been writing a lot of new songs and I want to get them recorded, at least in demo versions to share with everyone but there never seems to be enough time, ya know, so I thought it best to take a small break from the online world to get things in order and then come back in full force. I’d rather take the break now since I know there are a lot of people on vacation and then when summer is over, everything should be ready and good to go.

As always, let it be known to the world that I have the absolute best friends/fans of all time and I appreciate each and every one of you like crazy and I continually thank you for your support, love and kindness to me and my music.

much continued love

Do you like to get dressed up?…

On July 27, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...

The day is hot, humid and breezy which for me is three perfect qualities that I love in a day so it’s all good in my book. I am short on time tonight so I have to make this post quick as I am off to go get fitted for a tuxedo for a wedding this Saturday. My drummer and great friend George is getting married to his love Maribel and I am honored to have been asked to be the best man so I can’t wait!

So with this theme on the table, i ask you tonight:
——————————————
Do you like to get dressed up?
——————————————
Although I wouldn’t want to have to wear a suit to work or anything like that, I absolutely love to get decked out and hit the town. Who says you need a special occasion? You most certainly do not need a special occasion and spontaneous fancy shmancy nights are simply the best and I highly recommend them.

have a fancy shmancy night and I will see you in the morning after I get my penguin suit ;)

I’m thinking that puppy does not want to go in!…

On July 27, 2009 in Daily Musing

Now I am no expert on dogs by any means but I’m thinking that little Fido is not appreciative of the water at all!

Good afternoon to all. It is an absolutely beautiful day here in NYC today and although there’s a few things to take care of, it’s all good stuff so there’s no complaints here at all. Yesterday was a wonderful day as well filled with good spiritual nourishment, good beach time, good thunderstorms, good food and incredible conversation, the type that feels eternal and covers just about everything, reminding you of what’s important in life :)

I just had a pleasant breakfast with my Pastor and now am waiting to meet up with a good friend of mine to play some music and hang out a bit. Then it’s off to a lesson in the city and then straight home to meet up with George, my drummer to pick up Tuxedo’s for his wedding this coming Saturday. After that, I’m going to try to record a simple demo version of the new song and share it with all of you.

Hope your day has gotten off to a magnificent start and that it holds a few more secrets to share by the end of it. By the way, I would love to hear if the day suprises you with anything so please…share share!!

much puppy love

Peaceful Recuerdo Sunday…

On July 26, 2009 in Peaceful Sunday

It seems that every time I turn around a new week is starting. Where does all the time go? I know that is one of the ultimate questions in life but it’s still a darn good question and one that we never seem to get closer to the answer to. Sometimes I can’t even wrap my head around things that seem like they just happened yesterday but they in fact happened years ago and then certain experiences just happened and they feel like they are in one’s memory for years. A strange phenomenon indeed but one that I know I am not alone in feeling because I know others who feel the same exact way.

I am going to try and sneak off some beach time before heading off to evening church sevice. The sun however has been evading coming out in full force so we’ll see how this actually turns out. I will hope for the best however and find the sunshine even if clouds try and stand in the way ;)

So today, I want to share a song sung here by Ricky Martin and La Mari. I have been listening to this song since it came out and I love the lyrics and I know they are Spanish but it would take too long to translate so I hope you can at least appreciate the melody and the music. I tried to find the original unplugged version but the embed code was disabled so I had to go with this live version which is still performed quite well. Hope you enjoy it.

have a beautiful afternoon and rest of day and find one secret hidden in this day, I promise you it’s there :)
much recuerdo love

Kitty was not happy with that last call!…

On July 25, 2009 in Daily Musing

Actually, I think his brother is the mascot for the other team and it’s always been a point of shame to the entire family. lol!

Good morning sweet friends. The sun is busting in through every window and door this NYC morning and I for one am happy about that. yesterday was a partly cloudy day which I don’t mind but if it’s gonig to be that cloud, rain already, don’t tease us. Although the clouds are still visible today, the sun is just a tad stronger so Sun 3, Clouds 1.

Early start today as I had to take my sis to the airport at 6:00am. I have definitely been the airport guy lately and once again I repeat, I do not mind at all. I love takng and picking people up from the aiport. I know not many people actually say that but it’s true. There’s just something about the aiport that makes me feel like a kid and I go every chance I get. Still don’t wuite know which direction to take this day in yet. Work? beach? responsible? Throw responsiblity out the window? We shall see but whatever it is, I promise to have a good time doing it. My other sis had to go to the hospital yesterday for an elbow injury and luckily she’s fine but those moments always remind you that all we have is now and there is a lot to appreciate even when we think things aren’t quite as ‘perfect’ as we’d like them to be. I know I am guilty of that but I am going to start the day focusing on what’s good, what’s right and what I could make better today instead of what’s lacking. Yesiree, that is exactly what I’m going to d.

I pray the same for you and hope that wherever you are in your road of life that you are doing everything you can to squeeze the most life, make the best memories and make as many moments extraordinary. If you do, I promise you that you won’t be the only one trying, there’s a simple Brooklyn boy trying to do the same thing :)

Add Your Caption Friday…

On July 24, 2009 in Add your caption Friday

Friday has rolled around once again and although the sun was teasing us all morning, it finally managed to make it’s way through the cloudy sky. It’s been very breezy today and it’s not a bad way to start this weekend. Have to go to get my phone fixed as water got inside of it and my 4,8 and # keys aren’t working making it rather impossible to call anyone or texting. All my messages have no spaces, no t,u,v’s and no g,h, i’s. It does make for some of the silliest messages ever!

I have a lesson to teach in the city and then tonight is the rehearsal dinner for my friend George’s wedding. He is crazy with all the planning but excited and I’m very happy for him. I have never seen him this happy and although he’s a bit nervous, he’s excited for his wedding next week. I am not only honored to be his best man, but I also get to wear a tuxedo which is always snazzy so there are no complaints here ;)

So here we are yet again with a silly pic that needs a witty caption. Have fun with it and more than anything I hope you are having a beautiful start to this weekend. Remember to do something out of the ordinary and make this weekend stand out among the rest, you’ll be glad you did.

much love

5 Items or Less: Places that you still have yet to visit…

On July 23, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...

Droplets of water coming down in what appears to be in endless amounts, Norah Jones playing on the radio and a certain type of serenity only offered by rainy days like this one. What does the rest of the night hold? I’m not sure yet, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be good and I intend to find out what that is.

Got a lot done today regarding work and all that and even got some nice convo time with my friend Rich which I hadn’t hung out with for a while now. We went down to Bay Ridge and tried a new cafe that had just opened up or so we thought. We found out that it indeed hadn’t opened officially yet and we became their first customers, imagine that. The owner was very inquisitive as to how we liked our dessert and coffee and we reassured him that it was very good indeed.

So tonight I ask you:

For me, I still want to go to Paris, London, Barcelona, Greece and Australia.

Hope everyone is having a great night so far

Your day could always be a little worse!…

On July 23, 2009 in Daily Musing

That’s just a reminder that our day could always be a little worse. lol!

The day hasn’t decided yet whether it wants to be cloudy or sunny so we’ll just have to wait it out at this point and see what happens. I am feeling quite hopeful for the day today and although everything hasn’t been planned out just yet, I’m expectant of a few surprises and hopefully I will be proven correct. Much like the weather, we’ll see what happens.

With that said, I am going to start my crazy day with the not so crazy task of cleaning this apartment which looks like Tom & Jerry had one of their biggest blowouts in so I think it’s time to tidy up :)

have a wonderful morning everyone and I’ll see ya tonight
much cemented love

Do you prefer large crowds or quieter settings?…

On July 22, 2009 in Thoughts in the evening...

I am listening to some tango electronica music as I ride in the car with my sis and mom. We are going to visit our other sis and the kids tonight and make it a family night. Looking forward to it and the weather could not be more perfect. I know I write a lot about the weather but it’s only because I hate the winter so much and enjoy the summer so much and today is one of those days that could not be written any better. In the high 70’s, sunshine and a soft wind that cools you down right when yo need it. These are the night’s that you want to get all dressed up and paint the town red and every other color in the spectrum. There’s just something in the air and you can feel it.

Had a great day teaching the youth worship team from my church this morning and they sounded great and I want to publicly say how proud I am of them because they are doing a great job. THen I went to the doctor’s once again to finish up with all the final tests that needed to be done. Luckily I feel great and am in the best shape of my life so hopefully all will come back okay. Then I sneaked off to the beach for a few hours and  bit, wrote a bit and enjoyed the sweet smell of the sea and beach breeze.

A few Adrian Edward updates: I found out from the video editor that editing has begun for’Home’ so we are shooting for a premiere date of September 1st. I will obviously be officially announcing it soon but I wanted to give you the first news. Also, we will be joining Danni Rosner and her band in DC in the coming months to share a bill with her band and play some shows with them. One last thing, but very important, we finally got word from our digital distributor that the name change has been started so you will be able to go to Napster or ITunes soon enough and purchase my songs under ‘Adrian Edward.’ Step by step it’s all coming together.

Okay, with all that said, I will go into tonight’s question:
—————————————————-
Do you prefer large crowds or quieter settings?
—————————————————-
Although I like the occasional large crowd, I definitely prefer smaller intimate settings with fewer people. I just find it easier to get to know people and have good conversations that way.

hope everyone had an incredible day and is looking forward to a great night
much intimate love

Brides & doves, maybe not such a good idea!…

On July 21, 2009 in Daily Musing

That face is priceless and I’m pretty sure it’s going to take 20 years of therapy for her to get over her fear of doves after this episode. lol!

Rain, rain and more rain as far as the eye could see. No complaints here, that’s for sure. I have definitely been enjoying the beautiful sunny days that NYC has been fortunate enough to be graced with the past few weeks but this rainy day is more than welcome. The wind has a soft chill to it as it brushes up against your skin and everything seems to slow down, even if for a moment and there is tranquility in the air and you know something special is lurking in those raindrops.

Just had my first student and am now awaiting my next. I have a few students today and then I have to make my way to a doctor’s appointment. Nothing serious at all, just getting a little checkup to make sure everything is operating as it should. A few blood tests, a little of this, a little of that and everything should be fine. But send a little prayer this way if you get the time, it never hurts ;)

I hope you have a most incredible day and that the dreams that you have in your heart are not only coming true but that you are living with a passion that is ever present and that each moment of your day is lived intensely and only surpassed by the next.
much dove love
